Circa. 1920's composition doll... face cracked due to age, humidity, and the nature of the composition material used (i.e. sawdust, glue, flour, etc.). Many manufacturers guarded the ingredients used to produce their dolls. This one displays no maker's mark and the nature of the composition is unknown. This little one sports a faded paint job and is swaddled in a plain, cotton gown reminiscent of that time period. Great model.
